What Dance Can Do
We began our pilot programme at the end of the COVID-19 lockdown period in New Zealand in 2020. Driven by the belief that dance and dance education are useful tools in assisting children with their growth, learning and development, we aim to build effective programmes and hope to make dance and dance education accessible to children of all ages and backgrounds.
What Dance Can Do New Zealand also believes dance is a tool to bridging gaps. We actively encourage the sharing of dance techniques and styles from different cultures and identity through dance workshops and performances.
What Dance Can Do New Zealand is committed to supporting the New Zealand dance scene, and dancer community (locally and internationally) by collating and telling stories about dancers, performances and dancing in the community.
